DENTAL PRACTICES

IT built around dental operatories and the equipment in them

A dental office runs differently from most small businesses. The equipment is medical, the software is specific to the field, and every minute of downtime has a patient sitting in the middle of it.

The operatory is the hard part

Each operatory needs a workstation the clinical team can drive with gloved hands and wipe down between patients, a screen the patient can actually see from the chair, and a drop for the sensor or the intraoral camera. That is a mounting and cabling problem as much as a computer problem, and most of it gets decided at rough-in, while there is still a wall open to hide things in.

Imaging is what stresses the network

Intraoral sensors, panoramic units, and cone beam scanners produce files that get large quickly and then get opened over and over. That puts steady pressure on the server and on the connection between it and every chair, which is why those runs are wired rather than wireless and why storage gets sized for a few years of accumulation instead of for today.

Imaging equipment also arrives with its own vendor, its own installer, and its own requirements. We talk to them directly and work out the details with them, so your office manager doesn't have to carry messages back and forth between two companies.

Your practice management software

The software is the practice. We do not resell it and we do not have a favorite, which means we can tell you plainly what it needs from the server and the network, and we can be the ones sitting on hold with the vendor when something is wrong with it.

The front desk deserves better hardware

Scheduling, insurance, statements, and the phone all happen at one desk, usually with more windows open at once than anything else in the building and a person waiting on the other side of the counter. That machine is normally the oldest one in the office, and it is the one every new patient experiences.

Compliance is the same work, written down

Patient records make this a HIPAA conversation, so the network, the backups, and who can reach the server all have to hold up to a question you might not be asked for years. Building it correctly the first time costs very little more than building it loosely.

Opening or buying a practice

If you are building an office, we would rather be in the drawings early than surface-mount something later. If you are buying one, we can tell you what is actually in that closet before you sign, which is a different conversation than finding out afterward.

Where we work

We are based in Katy and support dental practices across greater Houston and southeast Texas, from Sugar Land and Richmond to League City, Baytown, and The Woodlands.

What we handle

  • Workstations the clinical team can drive with gloves

  • Screens a patient can actually see from the chair

  • Wired drops for sensors and intraoral cameras

  • Storage sized for years of imaging, not for today

  • Your imaging vendor dealt with directly, not through you

  • Backups and access that hold up to a HIPAA question
