NEW PRACTICE BUILDOUT

IT for a new practice, from bare walls to opening day

Opening a practice means coordinating a general contractor, an equipment rep, a landlord, and a dozen trades. Technology usually gets scoped last and installed in a hurry. We would rather be in the drawings early, so the cabling is in the walls before they close and nothing has to be surface-mounted afterward.

Before the walls close

Low-voltage rough-in happens once. If a drop is missing at an operatory, the fix after drywall is a surface raceway running down a finished wall. We walk the floor plan with you and mark where the drops go: every operatory, the front desk, the sterilization area, the private office, the server closet, and anywhere a display or a phone will hang.

We also flag the things that are easy to miss at that stage. Where the rack will live, and whether that closet has power and airflow. Whether the imaging equipment needs its own run. Whether the landlord's demarc is anywhere near where you want the network to start.

What we install

Structured cabling and terminated drops. Network switching and Wi-Fi sized for the floor plan. The server and the workstations. Phones and call routing for the front desk. Displays in the operatories and the waiting room.

It is the same crew through all of it, from the cabling to the network. When a port goes dead, there is one company to call and we already know how the building is wired.

What handoff looks like

Every drop is labeled at both ends and mapped. The rack is dressed and documented. You get the credentials, the equipment list, and the drop map in writing, so the next person who opens that closet does not have to guess.

Then we stay. The people who wired the building are the same people you call when something stops working after you open.

Where we build

We are based in Katy and build out dental, medical, optometry, and veterinary practices across greater Houston and southeast Texas, from Sugar Land and Richmond to League City, Baytown, and The Woodlands.

Next step

Tell us what you're running

We'll look at what you have, tell you what we'd change and what we'd leave alone, and put it in writing.

Referrals

Refer a clinic to Chimera and, depending on the scope, you could receive free labor or service credits as a thank-you.
